While Afterpulse heirs on the side of being pay-to-win, it's still possible to obtain nearly all items using just gold. This guide will help you get that gold for free!

  • 1. Daily Training - 20 Gold (Daily)
    • Login every day and finish the Daily Training tasks to get 20 gold per day.
    • 'Daily Double' is a frequently reoccurring event. When in effect, you'll get 40 gold. Keep an eye out for these events - don't miss them!
  • 2. RANKED - WEEKLY RANKING - 25-500 Gold (Weekly)
    • Simply finish one ranked match and you are guaranteed 25 gold at the end of that week.
    • The more Combat Points you earn, the more gold you can earn. You can even earn Restricted Weapons and Chrome series weapons when you start placing higher.
    • As you spend more time in the game, your weapons and gear will get better along with your own skill. You will soon start doing better and gaining more Combat Points per match. When you reach this point, you will find it much easier to reach higher in the rankings.
    • Once you have some experience under your belt, you should be able to finish in the Top 5% relatively easily. This is probably the best spot to finish each week as it's easy to get there, but the next step up (Top 100) usually takes A LOT more time to reach - even for the best players in the game.
  • 3. EVENT - Ranked Event Competitions - 25-400 Gold (Weekly)
    • Simply finish one ranked EVENT match and you are guaranteed 25 gold at the end of that week.
    • This is like the WEEKLY RANKING but easier as there is no negative scoring for dying (the only way to lose points is by disconnecting from a match or not following event rules). However, the rewards are usually slightly lower than the WEEKLY RANKING.
    • Instead of weapons crates, EVENT rewards include Restricted Gear crates in the higher reward tiers. However, nowadays the rewards are usually seasonal weapons or seasonal gear crates.
    • How well you do in an EVENT depends on what the EVENT is, what weapons and gear you have in your inventory, your skill level, and the amount of time you spend playing.
    • It can be hard to fill a lobby to get an EVENT match to start. Coordinating times to play with other players is highly recommended (and sometimes necessary).
    • It can be easier to place high in EVENT rankings than WEEKLY RANKINGS since, generally, less players participate. However, this fact can also make it even more competitive to hit the Top 100 in EVENT.
  • 4. Seasonal Challenges - 5-250+ Gold (Monthly)
    • The developers release a special set of challenges to complete for gold almost every month.
    • These challenges are for a limited time - generally 2-3 weeks.
    • They do not happen every month, but they do happen often, so be on the lookout!.
    • Seasonal Challenges are found in the same spot where you claim rewards for other challenges in the game (like Daily Training challenges). They will be under their own 'Seasonal' tab in this menu. You will only see them when they are available. Once the alotted time period is over, that particular set is gone for good, and the 'Seasonal' tab will disappear until a new set arrives.
    • The difficulty level of Seasonal Challenges can vary a lot - some just require time while others are rather tricky. You can typically get 100+ gold from these rewards even if you are the worst player out there.
    • You should also know that some Seasonal Challenges will only become available after others are completed.
    • Lastly, we'd like to add that there is usually an extra reward for completing all of the challenges, and sometimes challenges are made repeatable. Therefore, it's often not impossible to earn thousands of gold from these challenges.

  • 5. Gamevil Twitch Streams - 300-600 Gold (Every Fortnight or so)
    • Another good way to earn gold without much effort is by watching Gamevil live streams on twitch.tv/GAMEVIL_USA.
    • Make sure you are logged into a twitch account while watching, and your profile will automatically earn points while (and only while) Gamevil is live. You can check your current points by typing !points in the twitch chat!.
    • The GamevilPoints (GVPoints) earned per unit of time watched can vary, but at the time of this writing, it's 30 points for every 10 minutes.
    • GVPoints can be redeemed through the Gamevil StreamElements store.
    • At the time of this writing, the best (most efficient) reward to redeem is 300 Gold for 300 GVPoints. They usually stream Monday, Fridays, and sometimes Wednesdays for 1-2 hours per stream. So that's easily 500+ points per week even if you can't watch the whole time, each time.
    • You don't have to be active on the stream -- and if bandwidth is an issue, you can lower the quality or have it running in Audio/Chat mode only. You can always make sure you are earning points by checking the Gamevil StreamElements store or typing !points in the chat.
    • Redeemed rewards can take up to two weeks to show up in your Afterpulse account. When they do, they will appear in your inbox. Upon claiming, you will get a message saying, 'Thanks for tuning in to Twitch. Here are your rewards.' The gold in your account will then reflect the addition. If you receive multiple redemptions at the same time, you will get a separate inbox item and associated message for each.
  • Note: The following video walkthrough is now outdated. A more recent one will be uploaded soon.

  • 6. Random +5 Drops - 5 Gold (Randomly, depends how much you play)
    • You have a chance of getting +5 Gold randomly after a Training, Casual or Ranked match. Usually, this is once every 10 matches or so.
    • Keep an eye out for the frequent Gold Rush events. These will increase your chance of receiving this after-match reward.
    • Try to play as much as possible when the Gold Rush event is active to maximize your free gold. Trust us, it adds up!!
  • 7. Other (One-Time)
    • This is typically for new players.
    • There are several rewards in the Training and Skill sections that give you anywhere from 5 to 30 Gold for completing them. Challenges with a gold reward are usually a one-time thing, and if the challenge repeats, the rewards will change to Cash after the first completion.
    • As a new player looking for gold, try to complete as much as you can. Many of them can be easily finished in Training.
    • You also get 250 gold from your Daily Login rewards on the 5th day. After your first 28 days of playing, this Login Calendar typically changes and rewards different items than the previous 28 days. Gold is no longer a reward once your calendar changes.

  • Summing it all up...
    • You can earn 190 gold per week even if you are the worst player in the game (7x20 gold for daily training, 25 gold for finishing one WEEKLY RANKING match, and 25 gold for finishing an EVENT match).
    • If you redeem 300 gold from the Gamevil Revlo rewards that week, that total becomes 490.
    • If you count random +5 drops, that total can easily become 550 (or lower, or higher... you get the point).
    • If you reach Top 5% in WEEKLY RANKING, that total becomes 775.
    • If you reach Top 5% in EVENT, that total becomes 950.
    • And that doesn't even include seasonal challenges, login events, other special events, and more... Hopefully by now you can see the potential here!!
    • The better you are and the more time you spend playing, the more gold you will get! Spending money can save you some time spent grinding, but nobody has to spend money just to compete in this game. We sure hope this guide helps!
